My husband likes very few vegetables and this is one of his favorite vegetable. Some days I wonder which vegetable to serve as a side to accompany with dinner, this one always comes out as a winner. It is easy to put together and the robust flavor of the garlic when added to the green beans is simply amazing… Try it, a super easy recipe and it never fails.
You can buy fresh green beans and just cut the ends off, or for those rushed days when you are driving kids to after school activities, I know, I am always on the go, the frozen also works extremely well.
1 pound fresh or frozen green beans
3 tbsp butter
3 tsp minced garlic
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt to taste
½ a lemon to squeeze
1 Garlic pod thinly sliced for garnish
Lemon zest for garnish
1 Melt the butter on medium heat, I like to slightly brown my butter as it gives it a unique flavor. Once melted add fresh garlic and sauté for a minute, then add the freshly cut green beans or the frozen green beans.
